56th Annual State Conference

On Saturday, December 7th, Mass NOW members, board, and staff came together for the 56th Annual State Conference at the YWCA of Worcester.

The State Conference included: a 2024 Year In Review Presentation from Mass NOW’s Executive Director, presentations from current and prospective board members, elections for the 2025-2026 board, planning for the next year, and a menstrual equity workshop presented by two of Mass NOW’s Menstrual Equity Organizers.

We are thrilled to introduce you to Mass NOW’s new board members:

Dallas Ducar is a healthcare leader, advocate, and entrepreneur serving as Executive Vice President of Donor Engagement and External Relations at Fenway Health and founding CEO of Transhealth. A Fellow of the American Academy of Nursing, she advises policymakers on affirming care and health equity. Dallas serves on the boards of GLAD and HOCC and is active in LGBTQ+ health initiatives. A faculty member at UVA, Columbia, and MGH, she blends academic and clinical expertise. Beyond her work, Dallas enjoys hiking, family, and building ethical, patient-centered healthcare systems focused on community and freedom.

Nora Bent is the Director of Government Affairs and Strategic Partnerships at The Arc of Massachusetts, the state’s leading advocacy organization for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Prior to this role, she served as the Executive Director of the Massachusetts Caucus of Women Legislators. Nora also worked in Representative Christine Barber’s office and served as the Deputy Finance Director of the 2018 ballot question campaign to uphold the state’s transgender nondiscrimination law.

Nora’s work focuses on equity, and she brings a unique skill set of managing relationships and navigating political strategy. Nora graduated from American University with degrees in Political Science, focusing on Gender and Race Politics, and Political Communications. She has certificates in Women, Policy, and Political Leadership from American University and from the University of Vermont’s Women in Leadership Program.
