California NOW State President Kolieka Seigle, will be kicking us off in the morning with opening remarks. We'll be electing our new leadership board,read all about the slate here. Congresswoman Pressley will be moderating a panel discussion on period policy as feminist policy with Tre’Andre Valentine from the Massachusetts Trans Political Coalition, Bria Gadsden of Love Your Menses, and Diya Khullar of the Massachusetts Menstrual Equity Coalition. Plus, DJ Why Sham will be keeping us moving and grooving all morning.
In 2019 Mass NOW founded the Massachusetts Menstrual Equity Coalition, which has now grown to include over 60 endorsing organizations and 200 menstrual activists statewide. Thanks to your advocacy, 60 legislators have co sponsored the I AM bill so far! Add your name to our new petition to Governor Baker asking him to release the $500,000 allocated for menstrual products in shelters.
