Mass NOW Supports Protections for Pregnant Workers

Seventy-five percent of women in the workforce will become pregnant while working, yet they aren’t fully protected under state law. A bill filed by Sen. Joan Lovely and Rep. David Rogers would ensure that pregnant workers are treated fairly on the job by allowing for reasonable accommodations including breaks, time off to recover from childbirth, and private non-bathroom space for pumping.
