End Menstrual Silence!

Massachusetts is updating the Health Education Frameworks for the first time since 1999 - and there is no mention of menstruation! By excluding menstrual health from the frameworks, Massachusetts further perpetuates the stigma around menstruation and exacerbates period poverty, or the inability to access period products.

Florida recently signing the “Don’t Say Period” Bill into law to stop students from receiving age appropriate sexual education and menstrual education. At the same time Oregon, California and the District of Columbia are implementing Menstrual Health Education Standards. In Massachusetts, we have the opportunity RIGHT NOW to submit public comment by August 28th to add menstruation to the proposed health education frameworks!
